WOODINSPECTOR company has been operating in the woodworking sector since 2015. We specialize in scanning systems using vision techniques, AI technology and digital image analysis. Our products are directed to the wood processing industry – from small sawmills to large companies with highly automated production lines.
Our flagship product is Q-Scan AI. It is intended for working with hardwood and softwood, both planed and unplaned. The device detects defects and features of the wood, then makes decisions regarding cutting, optimization, and sorting into grades. Subsequently, the results are sent to an optimizer or sorting system. The scanner will be an ideal component of a new optimizing line, and it will also fit into an existing setup and can be integrated with an older optimizer. We have also created M-SCAN system for mosaic parquet production, WOODBASE storage system and AUTOQUBIK for measurement and classification of unplanned timber.
Our products help to reduce labour costs, increase production and avoid waste of material. We are proud of about 20 scanners working in production, in companies making floors, window scantlings, doors, pallets, garden architecture, special packaging, parquets, glued elements, frieze, finger-jointed elements, frames, bed strips, furniture elements. Most of the scanners work with pine but thanks to the possibilities given us by AI and neural networks, the machines distinguish defects on oak, spruce, alder, beech, and are ready to learn new species.
